Privacy Policy — Mastward

_Last updated: 2026-06-11 · AXD Intelligence_

Short version: we collect nothing. Mastward runs on your own machines and your own network. Your data never reaches us. (Required by the App Store / Play even though the honest answer is "none.")

What we collect

Nothing. Mastward has no analytics, no telemetry, no crash reporting, no tracking SDKs, and no account on our servers. We do not see, receive, store, or transmit:

  • your terminal sessions, commands, output, or scrollback;
  • your SSH keys, secrets, tokens, or files;
  • your hostnames, IP addresses, or which machines you connect to;
  • any usage data.

  • Where your data lives

  • Terminal sessions run on your machine (the engine you host). Persistence/scrollback is stored locally on that machine (in a private per-app folder in your home directory).
  • Connections go over your network (e.g. your Tailscale), device-to-machine. There is no relay server of ours in the path.
  • Device tokens and any licence key are stored locally and validated offline — the licence check does not phone home.

  • Payment

    If you buy a licence, payment is handled directly between you and us (e.g. bank transfer / PayID or crypto) or by the app store if you bought there. The Software itself transmits no payment data. We only ever know what you send us to complete a purchase.

    Third parties

    The Software bundles open-source components (see `Third_party_notices.md`); none of them collect or transmit your data in Mastward. We do not sell or share data — there is none to sell or share.

    Children

    Not directed to children under 13/16 (per your region).

    Your rights

    Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing to access, correct, or delete on our side. For questions: support@mastward.com.

    App-store declaration

    When submitting to the App Store / Google Play, declare "Data Not Collected" in the privacy nutrition label / Data Safety form — it is accurate.
